After posting the below comment I received a call from customer service for Amazon.com. He was able to address my concerns and informed me that my Delta 1501T3571 Battery Operated Electronic Basin Faucet with Gooseneck Spout in Chrome 1501T3571 was received today and will be processed for shipping today or tomorrow and that I should receive the unit some time next week. I was unaware that the unit was not in stock when I ordered it but I was made aware that it is clearly stated on their web-site that additional processing time is needed. I made my payment through Amazon payments and it was explained that that was why my credit card was charged so soon, without the unit being shipped yet. Overall I would say that I am satisfied with the response of the customer service at Amazon.com and that my initial displeasure has been abated.
